Do you know those people that come up to you and asks where the flower boutique is, when there is a 2 by 4 meter sign right over your head which reads “Flower Shop”?
      No?
That is because you are that person.
Look to the right of the site, there are a list of links.

That first message may have come of a bit confrontational

I’m on my phone (not the WordPress app)
        And there is no sidebar

    • It actually never even occurred to me to check out how the site would look on mobile devices! I’m not surprised it was tricky to navigate, yipes!

I’ll take a look at stylings and try to make things a little easier for my mobile readers; thanks for the heads up!

    • I finally got on this and added a Table of Contents to the mobile layout of the site! A little late for you, I realize, but hopefully future mobile readers will appreciate you giving me the head’s up :)

    • It’s funny, about half the time when people bring up interesting tidbits like this, I think “oh wow, they are right on the money about where that came from,” and half the time I think “oh wow, I totally ripped that off without remembering it was something I knew,” and half the time I think “oh wow, I didn’t realize the cool thing I came up with has actually been done many times before.”

How can I think three different things half the time? Which particular instance does the Tutelary deity fall under? ♫ Neener neener neeener, I’m not telling ♫

      • I know, right! i run into that all the time. There was an article going around about the psychology of that, of unconcious plagarism, it called it, but basically about using things that you remember, but think that you created.

        • Well…. Technically, everything we ever come up with is plagiarism. It’s all based past experiences we’ve had, past stories we’ve read, etc. Think for a moment, technically everything in this serial is plagiarised. Magic? Been a concept for hundreds of years. The church of olde will sue you. The names of each type of storm touched? Latin. <__> Twilight)

Not every thought which fails to jump directly from the formless void to your consciousness and then be refined by purely a priori reasoning is plagiarism.

    • I did indeed! I thought it would be a nifty way for more people to find Twisted Cogs, and it also seems like a really cool little community over there that I’m hoping to get involved in.

Thanks so much for looking out for me and letting me know! :)

  8. found this a few days ago and have to say i find it great so far, but i don’t make sense out of your release time, while 11:59 is easily understood, is that in pm, am or military time (aka 11:59/24:00).

since i live in japan if it updates 11:59 am it would be 2 in the morning on mondays, 23:59 it’s 2pm, i thought it would be at 2 am so i could read it on the train but i saw no update, was that because my browser didn’t update or because the page was late?

since i could read the page at 1 pm i figured it have to have been either or (or a one hour early release), so could anyone please enlighten me when i should visit this site.

Hmm, I think it used to say 11:59 p.m., banarok. That has been my experience with his updates, at any rate. CST is GMT-6, and JST is GMT+9, so if he updates just before midnight, your updates will happen on or before 3:00 p.m. If his updates are actually happening on CDT during the summer, which is GMT-5, you will get things an hour earlier.

If you got the latest update at 1:00 p.m, that would be because he was a bit earlier than promised.

        • Yep, exactly as automeris said.

I often post a chapter ahead of the deadline, so occasionally you can find it a little earlier than promised :)

Hmm, is there no RSS feed? To me (mobile) it looks like the only way to subscribe is to comment and check the checkbox for new posts through mail.
